Actually, A seems like the better option in this case. Adverbs are words that describe time, place, etc. so that wouldn't be correct, whereas "fierce" and "lazy" are adjectives.

A; because adverb phrases don't describe noun. The phrase is describing lion which is a noun. So it is a adjective phrase describing lion.
