OpenStudy (maddielb):

How many does the line go up?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

From 4 to 6

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

16 or 6

OpenStudy (maddielb):

6

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

;D yay I was right lol now what?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Wait what did you choose? I was asking a question not giving an answer lol

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

i didnt choose anything yet

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Well the slope would be rise over run, so in this case the slope would be 2 because it goes up 2 and over 1 (2/1) which is 2

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

ok Ill choose 2 thanks dude I have 3 more question can u help me on them?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Sure

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

http://prntscr.com/d1tg1x

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

ill medal you on your old posts after these questions to show my thank you towards your help

OpenStudy (maddielb):

What are you thinking for that one?

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

the first one of the hours on the second day

OpenStudy (maddielb):

No, if you look at it, the time is going by hours. So it is the number of miles hiked every hour

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

So C thank you :)

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Yes, C

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

http://prntscr.com/d1thya

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Well where do you think the line crosses the y axis?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Ps: The y axis is the one that goes up and down

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

sorry I don't understand this one I can't even make a guess lol

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

Maddie don't leave please lol come back

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Ok, look at the graph, do you see the edge of the graph with the line that goes up and down with y at the top of it?

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

i guess

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Here; https://gyazo.com/24bb53fe5ec350f3c13ebb518e07a25d this part of the graph

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

yes

OpenStudy (maddielb):

That is the y axis, so therefore, where the line passes through that axis will be the y intercept

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OpenStudy (maddielb):

So what would it be?

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

uhhhh 4? or 6

OpenStudy (maddielb):

The y intercept is where the line crosses right through the axis, so where the line and axis meet would be 4

OpenStudy (maddielb):

So 4 is your y intercept

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

yay ;D i was mainly thinking it was 4 but I was guessing 6 thanks

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

and last one

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

http://prntscr.com/d1to46 @MaddieLB last one

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Any guesses on that one?

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

one of the distances of hikeing

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Well what the graph is showing is the beginning to end of the second day of hiking. So the first one would be the answer

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

http://prntscr.com/d1tpzd does this look all good?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Perfect

OpenStudy (fastwooly):

thanks for all the help bye :)

OpenStudy (maddielb):

You're welcome
