OpenStudy (itrymath):

Write the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the line y = 2x + 2 and passes through the point (6, 3). (2 points) y = - 1/2x + 6 y = - 1/2 x + 3 y = 2x + 3 y = 2x + 6

@jtm-PA

OpenStudy (jtm-pa):

y=-1/2x + 6 is the answer

OpenStudy (itrymath):

how @jtm-PA

OpenStudy (jtm-pa):

you must take the negative reciprocal to get the perpendicular line which would be 2 > -1/2 and it must have a greater intercept than 3 because it is a decreasing graph so at 6 it will pass through the point
