DNA (which is a master copy and is genetic data) is located in the nucleus and that is where everything starts. Ok, so you may want to listen to this information to get somethings. Transcription is basically the “synthesis of an RNA molecule from a DNA template.” (-FLVS Biology Course Module 3.05 page 4.) Also, translation is the “process in which which the base sequences in mRNA are used to direct the arrangement of amino acids in protein synthesis.” (Also from the source above in parenthesis.) mRNA is messenger RNA, rRNA is ribosomal RNA, and tRNA is transfer RNA, these are the main three type of RNA and these are the ones I am going to be talking about.
So to start things off, DNA is where the information to encode a protein, but mRNA is the in-between part.
