@Jamierox4ev3r How do I solve this one? Do I use A=1/2(b1+b2)h to every side in order to find the area?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

not quite

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

Hey narissa, you only need to use the formula once. Do you know what your values are?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

recall that: a is the top base b is the bottom base h is the height. This formula applies to the entire trapezoid, not just each side

OpenStudy (narissa):

Ohh top and bottom ok I thought it would be side and side. Thank you!!

OpenStudy (narissa):

Will it always be top and bottom?

OpenStudy (narissa):

Or is that just for this question?

OpenStudy (narissa):

@Jamierox4ev3r

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

in general, yes

OpenStudy (narissa):

Okay thanks so much!!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

oh, and before you go...

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

|dw:1478039226769:dw| This should help :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

@narissa

OpenStudy (narissa):
