OpenStudy (harman.singh):

If you are new to 'elimination', I recommend reading over this webpage. It should help you answer the questions. If you have any questions while trying out these problems, I can help. Link: http://mathsfirst.massey.ac.nz/Algebra/SystemsofLinEq/EMeth.htm

Thank you so much I need help with this equation -2a+3b=14 a-4b=3

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

So, if you read the link above, you would know that to eliminate, you need to have a common value in both of the equations so they can cancel out when subtracting. What do you think you should multiply both equations by so they have one common number?

OpenStudy (flowers):

A and 2 I just realize that a=1 So nevermind i got it but thank you so much for that link

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

No problem. Good luck with your studies :)
