OpenStudy (newme1227):

OpenStudy (igreeen):

L is -4, 8 M is 4, 8 thats all I got for now Ill get back at you soon

OpenStudy (newme1227):

What? lol there is nothing in the screenshot with that?? @mathmate

OpenStudy (newme1227):

@thor123 @hanna1 @cedrick12345 @Aleah54

OpenStudy (cedrick12345):

im sorry i have no clue

OpenStudy (newme1227):

Ugh okay I really need help

OpenStudy (bigdog):

Triangle XYZ, with vertices X(-1, -3), Y(-1, -1), and Z(-3, -1), is translated 2 units right and one unit down to form triangle X′Y′Z′. What are the coordinates of the vertices of triangle X′Y′Z′? X′(1, 4), Y′(1, -2), and Z′(-1, 0) X′(1, -4), Y′(1, -2), and Z′(-1, -2) X′(-1, 4), Y′(-1, 2), and Z′(1, 0) X′(1, -4), Y′(1, -2), and Z′(-1, 0) X′(-3, -4), Y′(-3, -2), and Z′(-5, -2)

OpenStudy (newme1227):

huh?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

|dw:1478089879376:dw| You can use the Pythagoras theorem to find c. That will give you the distance between point C and D c^2=a^2+b^2

OpenStudy (newme1227):

I'm so confused

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

The formula is also given to you in the question

OpenStudy (newme1227):

-4? im confused

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

So the values are as follow (-1,4) (x1,y1) (2,0) (x2,y2) Can you see how you can substitute these values into the equation to find d?

OpenStudy (newme1227):

so it would be 1,-4?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

I am not sure what exactly you are referring to but here is how I would do it Based on my previous reply: x2 = 2 x1 = -1 y2 = 0 y1 = 4 Now, we substitute these values into the equation they provided us with \[d = \sqrt{\left( x2-x1 \right)^2+\left( y2-y1 \right)^2}\] What do you get once you solve for d?

OpenStudy (newme1227):

its 5 .

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

Yes, that's correct. So the distance between points C & D is 5 units

OpenStudy (newme1227):

Thank you

Phil’s age is 7 years more than 1/5 times Peter’s age. Also, 4 times Phil’s age is 2 years less than twice Peter’s age. If x is Peter’s age in years, identify the equation that represents this situation and identify the solution to the equation.

post your own question ^

OpenStudy (bigdog):

i do dont nobody answer

Kevin has $4.85 in nickels and dimes. If he has 34 fewer dimes than nickels, how many coins (nickels and dimes) does he have altogether? 74 coins 75 coins 76 coins 77 coins

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@bigdog please do not piggy-back on other user's posts. They won't get responded or even read! :(

OpenStudy (newme1227):

Thank you @mathmate !
