In guinea pigs, dark hair (D) is dominant over light hair (d) and curly hair (C) is dominant over smooth hair (c). Complete a dihybrid cross for parents with the genotypes: DdCc × DdCc and answer the following in complete sentences. Describe how you would set up a Punnett square for this cross. List the likelihood of each possible offspring genotype. List the likelihood of each possible offspring phenotype. Plz help ive been on this question for an hour now :((
Sorry if its a bit weird looking but its basically a 2x2 box where you'd label the top and the sides like you see below. Just make sure the line are actually crossing :) lol D d C I ------- c I
Then just put each letter where they belong for example the capital D and C should both end up in the first box. When it comes to the math and probability, you can think of these as quarters and the whole square would be 100%. So since DC is only 1 square it should only have a 25% chance of getting a dark haired, curly guinea pig :)
