OpenStudy (jamesreed30):

What is the latereal area of a prism with 12" 12" and 12" again

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Since all the edge lengths have the same length, this prism is a cube. A cube has 6 square faces. 2 square faces are the bases. The other 4 square sides form the lateral part. Find the area of one face and multiply by 4.

OpenStudy (3mar):

For the volume of any prism = area of the base × height of the prism For the lateral area of a prism = perimeter of the base × height of the prism For the total area of a prism = lateral area + [ 2 × base area]

OpenStudy (3mar):

By the way, it seems that it is a cube as their sides' lengths are the same!

OpenStudy (jamesreed30):

So can you take me through the steps @mathstudent55

OpenStudy (melodycrazysouthern):

OpenStudy (jamesreed30):

I got a very large number following those steps I don't think I did it right @melodycrazysouthern

OpenStudy (melodycrazysouthern):

@mathstudent55 lol helppppppppppp

OpenStudy (jamesreed30):

Lol can somebody just like give me the answer to this one then I've got another question then take me through the steps on it

OpenStudy (3mar):

lateral area=4(12*12)=576 Done!

OpenStudy (jamesreed30):

Thank you! @3mar can you help with other question?

OpenStudy (3mar):

Yes, Of course.

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for the medal!
