I don't understand how to move the decimal

if you divide by 10 or 100, 1000 then you have to move the decimal forward
OpenStudy (jskhupmang):
so for example if you divide 8.0 by 10 then you have to move 1 decimal place forward 8.0÷10=0.80 if 8.0÷100=0.08 etc.
OpenStudy (jskhupmang):
if you multiply 8.0 and 10 then move decimal place backward. ex. 8.0x10=80.0
