A frame shop charges according to both of framing needed to surround the picture and the amount of glass needed to cover the pictute. A. Find the area and perimeter of the trapezoid-shaped framed picture to the right. B. Identify whether the frame has to do with perimeter or area and the same with the glass. 48in. ,20in., 24in.,20in., height - 16 in.

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

Area = l x w. What is the length? What is the width?

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

I cannot know the answers unless you specify which numbers belong to which category i.e length and width.

OpenStudy (tsingsaas):

The length is 20 and 20 the width is 24 and 48

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

The area is 2,880. Perimeter is 112. One question. This a trapezoid, correct?

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

My apologies. If this figure is indeed a trapezoid, the area would be 576. Not 2,880. Perimeter is still 112.

OpenStudy (tsingsaas):

Thankyou!

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

You're welcome.

OpenStudy (gingerbread_cake):

Also, the framing has to do with perimeter and the glass covering with area.
