OpenStudy (kbt79):

What is happening to the chromosomes (sister chromatids) in Anaphase 2?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Chromosomes are lined up at the metaphase plate of metaphase II. Then the cohesins between sister cromatids is "removed" and the sister cromatids seperate from each other and then are pulled in to opposite poles of the cell by shortening of the spindle fibers that are connected to the kinetochores. Other spindle fibers which are not connected to the kinetochore of chromatids extend in length and elongate the cell.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Sorry 4 bad english.
