HELP!

OpenStudy (jerry45):

(03.04 MC) The sum of three consecutive numbers is 57. What is the largest of these numbers? 18 19 20 21

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

Jerry how you get from these numbers 57 ? in what way ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

than you get it just select the largest number and so this your exercise is solved right

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

@Jerry45 Tip, they give you the numbers that are consecutive, so you have to find out which is the right 3.

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

18+19+20 or 19+20+21 which equals 57? Then the out of three, you will find the greatest number. @jhonyy9 I know this is multiple choice, but that's how it works for these questions.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

@3mar thank you - and sorry but i not can sending to you message bc. the submit button is blocked again too

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok. i know it but given that you need getting 57 from consecutive numbers so in this way just this one choice is right and not is again other - yes ?

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

Yes, but most questions like this will have all 3 numbers are choices and you can figure out if those 3 consecutive numbers add up to 57. We're both right. It's just seeing that the choices actually add up to that number, but you have to figure out which way it is.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok. i understand you now - but jerry not is here to clarify this exercise - hope will understand it right
