Introducing lattice

Lyss:

Lattice is a simple method for long multiplication, without hassle. steps: 1) draw a box and place the numbers in which you plan on multiplying outside of the box, then separate the box into multiple boxes by drawing lines so the length of the number matches the length of the box, like so --> http://prntscr.com/d3ylko 2) draw diagonal lines from the top right corner of ever box, moving downward --> http://prntscr.com/d3ymx6 3) the box is now constructed, and we can move onto the actual math. Take the last digit in the top number and the first digit of the right number, and multiply. Put the product in the box. If the product is a single digit, place a 0 before it. If not, use the bar to separate the digits. --> http://prntscr.com/d3yoyv 4) do this throughout all of the digits. --> http://prntscr.com/d3yqiu 5) now that all of the digits have been multiplied, it's time to add each diagonal column. let the diagonal lines separate the numbers you will be adding. write the sum at the bottom, where the diagonal lines had been drawn down a little. And carry the number if it exceeds 9. I'll draw the carried numbers in red so i don't forget to add them. --> http://prntscr.com/d3ys66 6) the answer at the bottom is the product of the original numbers. --> http://prntscr.com/d3yssm 7) that's all.
