can some one help me with a few questions i will fan and medal

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

find the value of x and y

OpenStudy (error1603):

X=90 Y= 3 6

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

can you tell me how you got the answers to it

563blackghost (563blackghost):

You first need to analyze the diagram.... We see that BC is bisected by line AD this would mean that the angles on either side of D it is 90 degrees.

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

ok

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Since we are indicated that two sides are congruent this would mean that this triangle is an isoceles triangle which tells that there a two angles and sides that are congruent. So angle C is congruent to angle B. So angle B is 47 degrees.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

So we now know of two angles in one part of the triangle. So to find y we would add up the two angles and subtract by 180. \(\huge\bf{180-(90+47)=y}\)

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

what about x

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

so y = 137 ?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

`You first need to analyze the diagram....` `We see that BC is bisected by line AD this would mean that the angles on either side of D it is 90 degrees.` This is how you find x.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Make sure to add `90 and 47` and then subtract `180 by 137` to find y.

OpenStudy (bmxlifestyle):

y = 43
