Another problem I need help with :( A stone rolling horizontally off a cliff at 10 m/s lands 48 meters away. How high was the cliff and what is the stone's overall speed just before impact?

@osprey

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Let me help this person out and then I will help you out! =)

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Alright, I am here. Give me a min to look at it.

OpenStudy (osprey):

Similar problem by the looks to one posted within last couple of hours. It's just that what's being looked for is slightly different. I'd imagine that the cliff is scarily high above sea level, and a DON'T LOOK DOWN notice might be in order.

OpenStudy (steve816):

Thank you osprey!

OpenStudy (osprey):

Unless you've got a parachute of some sort steve ! (even then, it probably wouldn't really help that much).
