OpenStudy (steve816):

Confused on this integral.

OpenStudy (steve816):

\[\Large \int\limits_{3}^{6}\frac{ dx }{ x }\] What on earth does the dx/x mean?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

It could mean \[\frac{ 1 }{ x }. dx\]

Nnesha (nnesha):

special case our fvt professor ` ln(x) `

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

What harman said. What you have is the same thing as: \[\int\limits_{3}^{6}\frac{ 1 }{ x }dx\] but the author of the question subsituted dx for the 1

OpenStudy (steve816):

Ohhh, I did not know you can write it like that! That is interesting.

OpenStudy (steve816):

Thanks guys, I think I can figure out the integral now.
