OpenStudy (lolololhelpme):

Simplify?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Factor some of that negative 3 business out of everything, \(\large\rm -3x^3+9x^2+30x\quad=\quad -3(x^3-3x^2-10x)\) oh and an x out of everything also, \(\large\rm -3x^3+9x^2+30x\quad=\quad -3x(x^2-3x-10)\) Understand what I did there? Try to do it with the denominator as well. \(\large\rm -3x^3-18x^2-24x\quad=\quad -3x(\qquad \qquad? \qquad\qquad)\)

OpenStudy (lolololhelpme):

I'm still kinda confused..

OpenStudy (waseem):

-3x=0,x=0 \[x ^{2}-3x-10=0\] \[x ^{2}-5x+2x-10=0\] \[x(x-5)+2(x-5)=0\]\[(x-5)(x+2)=0\]\[x-5=0,x+2=0\]\[x=5,x=-2\] i hope do you understand x=0,x=5,x=-2
