2. Name one pair of congruent sides. (1 point) Segments PR and SV Segments QR and ST Segments RP and TS Segments PQ and VS 3. Which method shows that the two triangles are congruent? (1 point) SSS SAS ASA AAA

@563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Which do you think is correct?

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

2. B 3. I am not sure

563blackghost (563blackghost):

For 2 we must name a pair of sides. If we look at the shapes we see that the markings that are the same indicate they are congruent. So `Side QR is congruent to VT`, `Angle V is congruent to Angle R`, and `Side SV is congruent to Side PR`. `Side QR and ST` don't seem to be alike with each other since the markings don't indicate they are congruent. From what I listed above what would be the answer.

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

Ok so number 2 is A

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct :)

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

Can you explain number 3

563blackghost (563blackghost):

If we analyze what is congruent we see that 2 pair of sides are congruent and one pair of angles are congruent. We also see that the angle lies in between the two sides that are proven congruent. Side-Angle-Side so this is proven with SAS.

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

So the answer is B

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

Thank your soooo awesome

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Oh thank you flutter :)

OpenStudy (fluttershyk):

Thanks for the medal... :)
