Which of the following statements best compares the height of the bars of the histogram? There are more participants in the 0–19 age group than in the 40–59 and 60–79 groups combined. There are more participants in the 20–39 age group than in the 40–59 and 60–79 groups combined. There are twice as many participants in the 0–19 age group than in the 60–79 age group. There are 3 times as many participants in the 60–79 age group than in the 20–39 age group.

When you look at the bar graph and go over each of the answers, which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (eiwoh):

It seems like its B...but I need confirmation

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Well if you were to combine the 40-59 60-79 age groups, they would be the same as the 20-39

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Your answer would be C because the age group 0-19 has 40 people, and 60-79 age group has 20, so there is 2x more in the 0-19 age group

OpenStudy (eiwoh):

oooh ok thank you! guess I misunderstood

OpenStudy (maddielb):

It's fine, now you know :)
