Marlon withdrew $25 from his savings account every week for 5 weeks. Which expression is the best choice to help him determine the total amount of money he withdrew? (25)(−5) = −125; he withdrew $125 (−25)(5) = −125; he withdrew $125 (−25)(−5) = 125; he withdrew $125 (25)(5) = 125; he withdrew $125

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (cwolfe):

idk thats why i asked

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Take note of the word, withdrew. Withdrew means that you took money from your account. This can be modeled as a negitave. So it should be -25. Now it does not make sense for the answer to have a -5 because there is no such thing as -5 weeks. So it should be a positive. Overall it should look like: (-25)(5) or 5 (-25).

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (cwolfe):

yes

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Awesome! I am glad I could help. :)
