f(x)=x f(x)+4=x+4 if you let f(x)=y, then draw y=x you get a straight line graph|dw:1478802798005:dw|

OpenStudy (amorfide):

y=x+5 would be a translation of 5 units in the positive y direction |dw:1478802829859:dw|

OpenStudy (amorfide):

so you have f(x)=x f(x)+3=x+3 so draw the graph y=x, then draw the graph y=x+3 then you will see that it was translated 3 units in the positive y direction meaning, instead of crossing through (0,0) as it did for y=x you now cross through (0,0+3)= (0,3) so look for the graph that crosses this coordinate on the graph an easier way to remember is f(x)=x+b then it will cross the point (0,b)

OpenStudy (jakob):

So it is graph 3?
