Compare and contrast what happens in mitosis and meiosis and discuss the importance of each process to a living organism.

In Meiosis the chromosomes blend together and share their genetic information between the daughter and sister cells from Prophase 1. The ending sequence is four cells. Mitosis is pretty much the same process but it makes 2 cells that are the same instead of four.
