Please Help. Appreciate it for at least trying. Will Medal.
Not sure how to write the formula for perimeter of a cross section
hi could u plz help me with my question i lost ill medal u
lol ok tag me
@zepdrix Could you help me? Thanks
the perimeter of a square a square has 4 even sides, the perimeter is the sum of all the sides P=s+s+s+s = 4s
length and girth must be a max of 90 in hence L+4s =90 volume of the rectangular box would be V=s*s*L --- length* width*height
ok thanks. So for Restraint, should I use the formula for Perimeter of a Cross Section = 4s+L=90 ?
@sooobored
volume would be= s^2*L right?
your restraint is the sum of the length and the girth girth is just defined as the perimeter of the cross-sectional area cross sectional area happens to be a square the perimeter of a square happens to be 4s formula of the perimeter of a square cross section would be P=4s formula of your restraint would be 90=L+Girth= L+4s
and yes, volume = s^2 L
thanks, so now I found the derivative of the volume which is 180s-12s^2. I set equal to zero, s=0 , s=15. Is this correct?
assuming you did the derivation correctly, cause i didnt actually do the problem a side length of 0 is not a valid answer hence s=15 would be your only solution
so L=30
Thanks it was correct! @sooobored
