OpenStudy (koolkid98):

What information is needed to determine the average velocity of a marble? A. the mass of the marble and the force it was rolled with B. the displacement of the marble and the change in time over which the displacement occurred C. the distance per unit time D. the mass of the marble and the amount of gravity acting on the marble

OpenStudy (koolkid98):

i think (A)

OpenStudy (osprey):

I think B. velocity is displacement divided by time. I'd say that C was more "instantaneous" velocity - if the v CHANGES then the instantaneous will too. A is FORCE as in Newton's law 2. D is FORCE again, disguised by the questioner. The force is GRAVITY. I would say that the info needed was the TIME OF FLIGHT and the LENGTH of the flight were the thing moving in a STRAIGHT line.

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

\( \mathbf{\bar v} = \dfrac{\Delta \mathbf{r}}{\Delta t}\)

OpenStudy (koolkid98):

so its (B) @osprey
