OpenStudy (narissa):

Do I use slope formula to solve this? To determine whether they're parallel? http://prntscr.com/d5r6yz

OpenStudy (amorfide):

you would use the distance of two points

OpenStudy (steve816):

Nope, distance formula is not needed.

OpenStudy (amorfide):

it would still be a viable method though

OpenStudy (narissa):

Okay well there is 4 points how do I figure out which two points I have to use? Do I use distance formula for each pair?

OpenStudy (steve816):

If the slope between the 2 sets of two of the points are the same, than it would be a parallelogram.

OpenStudy (narissa):

lmao After looking at the picture I realized I thought distance formula was slope formula lol sorry

OpenStudy (narissa):

AB=1/2 BC=-3/2 CD=-1/2 DA=1/2

OpenStudy (steve816):

AB and DA have the same slope! That means it indeed is a parallelogram :)

OpenStudy (narissa):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (steve816):

No problem!
