OpenStudy (lacris):

I used the T-test on my calculator, put the initial depth in L1 and depth five years later in L2 and L3 was L1 - L2. I chose for >mu List L3 Frequency: 1 Data All of this on a ti84 q-q my p = 0.2774729659.. Im not sure what I'm doing wrong.. :c

OpenStudy (lacris):

@HolsterEmission I hope you have time to help :>

OpenStudy (lacris):

Did I use the wrong function in the calculator?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what are you using for your degrees of freedom?

OpenStudy (lacris):

I'm not using any degrees of freedom, I just used the T-test on my stat section of my calculator. Was I supposed to use InvNorm? Or InvT?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I notice you said `I chose for >mu ` but your alternative hypothesis has the opposite sign: a less than sign

OpenStudy (lacris):

Oh I thought it was because it meant that 0 would be greater than mu Because on my calculator is says:|dw:1478847718362:dw| I got a bit confused so I chose the last because it was less than mu, but I'm not really sure.. :c
