OpenStudy (vuriffy):

Anyone have any scholarship advice for college and where I should apply for ones?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

Hello! This is really something you should look up on your own! Are you adopted? There's scholarships for that. Are you really invested in sports? There's scholarships for that. Are you really good at math, or any type of main subject? There's scholarships for that. Are you really interested in writing? There's contests, and there's scholarships for that. It juat depends on what you are interested in c:

@RhondaSommer Please try to be more kind. @Vuriffy , Have you made a FAFSA? You can find some there. When you apply to colleges they will tell you what type of scholarships you qualify for. Depending on your grades and SAT or ACT scores you could get some money.

If you want to do it the lazy way, you can use this site: http://freecollegescholarships.net/reg

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

uh, i wasnt being unkind... but thank for telling me how i should be? #fluentsarcasm anyway. what I was TRYing to say, is that you should think about what you are interested in. certain scholarships require different things, and if you aren't interested in it, you probably wont get the scholarship. :) c': but hey, apparently im mean, so dont listen to me.

iYuko (iyuko):

'Hello! This is really something you should look up on your own!" Most people don't find that too kind.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

lol thats because you are thinking that the way i typed it was maliciously. if you assume that it is malicious, then ya, your gonna think its mean. if you assume i am speaking kindly then you're gonna think I'm saying something like Hey, this really is something you should look up on your own. just because I didn't tell him exactly what to do, or give him an answer doesn't mean that I am being mean to him. Regardless, it isn't your place to tell me what to do. :D

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

usually the college that you wish to apply to will have a section on teir website about specific scholarships that are for your school :)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

those are better since they are not so broad and it looks good that yo get them from there :)

OpenStudy (madison5s):

For whatever school you get accepted at, apply for financial aid on their official website. Also, if you join certain clubs or enter competitions like the Silver Night Project you can win thousands of dollars worth of scholarship money. There also smaller contests that you can enter, like essay contests or photography contests.
