OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Scientists can determine the direction a glacier traveled by examining: drumlins striations erratics two of the above

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Well, when a glacier erodes, it leaves marks in the bedrock called "glacial striations." These show the direction the glacier moved.

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Ok

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

however, erratics and drumlins also have a lot to do with glacier movement. Remember, drumlins are hills molded by past glacial action and erratics are rocks boulders that are believed to be brought from a distance via glacial action.

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Ok gotcha

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Also, feel free to check out my answer to your other question

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):
