OpenStudy (mlgisbrguy1):

If the angle measures in a triangle are: 3x-2, 4x, x - 2, determine the value of x. *

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Hint :- The sum of all angles in a triangle is equal to 180 degree.

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Add the given angles & equate them to 180 degree. Find x & then find the actual value of the angles.

OpenStudy (a_v51):

The key to this problem is to recognize that the sum of the angles of a triangle always add up to 180. So you can set up an equation like this: 2x%2B3%2B3x%2B5%2B5x%2B2=180 combine the like terms: 10x%2B10=180 solve for x: 10x=170 x=17 To find the measure of each angle, just plug x back into the equation of each angle. i will do one, you can do the other two: a=2x%2B3 substitute in your value of x: a=2%2817%29%2B3 a=37
