While some mutations can benefit an organism, others are harmful and can lead to cancer. Which of the following best describes how mutations can cause cancer in an organism? Cell division becomes uncontrolled when mutations occur in genes that regulate cell division. Cells with mutations outnumber and consume normal cells that do not have mutations. A mutation can attack a cell's DNA and cause an autoimmune response in the cells. Mutations cause cells to become unable to divide and the cells die in masses, forming tumors. I think its A but i am not 100 percent sure. Please someone
please someone help me. Thank you!
@sleepyjess pleasee help me
A glass dish containing a few drops of water in the presence of carbon dioxide gas, nitrogen gas, and small organic compounds is heated by a flame and UV radiation. Which early Earth scenario does this set-up most closely resemble? Deep sea volcanoes giving off gases, sulfur, and iron to produce organic molecules Lightning in the early atmosphere, which may have produced the first organic molecules The replication of RNA near the ocean's surface in the day and night cycling of temperatures Amino acid formation from organic molecules in ocean water splashing on hot rock, sand, or clay
and that question. I think its C but i am not 100% sure either. Please someone help me. Thank you!
Please someone! /:
@GIitter please help me
Im sorry but i cant help atm im busy ;-;
oh... its okay lol. when will you be free?
u there?
yeah. I dont know when though ;-; tbh
A for the first and B for the second
no direct answers please
@caozeyuan you sure the second one isn't C?

@3mar
hello?
@zepdrix please help me
Science? +_+ Nawww I aint bout that life.
Sorry for disappointing you. I am not so good at it!!
for the first question, it isnt D because that is what i got wrong lol
yeah the first one is A i know. But the second one i don't know if its C or B
u took this test before ?
hold on let me check what i got for that
ok thanks
I didnt have that exact question, but I had a similar one, so i THINK it is c. but that is a guess
oh ok so not b?
actually i completely take that back i have no idea. sorry
oh ok /: biology sucks lmao
I know right?
and my internet is sucking even more now so i can't even search it up XD
well good luck, sorry i wasnt any help!
its alright!
you should really have asked this in the biology section of openstudy. Fortunately I am a molecular biologist. Cancer is when there is uncontrolled cell division. Normally your cells have a limited number of divisions before they die, known as senescence. Cancer or tumour lines have unlimited cycles. It is important to know that in the case of cancer, the mutation leads to abnormal cell division. Genetic mutations alone do not necessarily lead to cancer cells. For the second question the experiment is basically a simulation of Miller-Urey experiment https://www2.gwu.edu/~darwin/BiSc151/Origin/origin.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller%E2%80%93Urey_experiment Sparks to resemble lightning catalysed reactions of the gases thought to make up the early atmosphere (water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen) to form amino acids.
