I am reading this story on Newsela: Famous Speeches: Ronald Reagan's Challenger Disaster Address Which excerpt from the speech BEST summarizes a central idea? A. We've grown used to the idea of space, and perhaps we forget that we've only just begun. B. I want to add that I wish I could talk to every man and woman who works for NASA[.] C. For the families of the seven, we cannot bear, as you do, the full impact of this tragedy. D. The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we'll continue to follow them.

I like the "slipping the surly bond" quote best. But since you are asking a reading skill question, you need to consider the whole speech to get a summary. The "pulling us into the future" line does that best.
