The poem starts: The boy stood on the burning deck Whence all but he had fled; The flame that lit the battle's wreck Shone round him o'er the dead. The poem is about a nautical battle in 1798 all i remember about this poem is the context of the which the boy fought valiantly and he was a huge factor in saving the ship so i believe your answer is correct because it corresponds with the facts of the story at the beginning i know for sure that it is not D because he was never trapped and it is not C because that was at the end of the poem when he got killed after setting fire in the British ship and B doesn't see like something a person would do at the beginning of the battle it would be more suitable in the middle of the battle
