plug in each ordered pair for x and y. the y values for y, and the x values for x. see if they are true to the equation, meaning the inequality sign makes sense. any ordered pair that you plugged in that is true, are solutions to the problem.

but remember to put them in for BOTH equations. one may be correct, but the other could be incorrect, resulting in them NOT being a solution
