Find the value of x in the following figure. Show equations and work that lead to your answer.   https://static.k12.com/eli/bb/343/5_23951/2_15036_2_23953/92b714abcd92ed2d9c6441888bd921cf4d8d401a/media/721645aef5c97cf87775f81497c7bde34f7ddabf/mediaasset_649689_1.gif

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

tell me, which is alternate interior. once you know, you will be able to begin the process of finding x

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

there are no interior angles all your finding is the exteriors right?

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

there is an easier way instead of having to find interior or exterior. Continue all the lines that end at an angle and post it. Also name each point so i am able to explain to u clearly

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

for example |dw:1479238927770:dw| contine the lines

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

I don't think I undersand

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

you know where the 46 degrees is? if you continue the line directly above it you will find the x by solving the equation (20x - 29)

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

remember a straight line is 180 so 180 -46 will give you (20x-29)

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

because they are alternate interior angles so if you find 180 - 46 you find the angle you made by continuing the line directly above 46 and that is alternate interior to (20x -29)
