OpenStudy (crazypizzalover):

it has a graph in it idk how else to upload it for you Im sorry

OpenStudy (crazypizzalover):

@amorfide can you help me?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

standard form of a quadratic ax^2 +bx + c c is the y intercept so the y intercept is -4 hence c=-4 ax^2 + bx -4 now the roots of the quadratic is when y=0, so that is when it intercepts the x axis it intercepts at the point 2, but also the point -2 s0 we have x=2, x=-2 so we want to rearrange that to get ax+B=0 x=2, so x-2=0 x=-2, so x+2=0 since these are roots of the equation we write it in factorised form (x-2)(x+2)=0 we can check this by multiplying out (x-2)(x+2)=0 x^2 +2x -2x -4=0 x^2-4=0 x^2=2 x=2, or x=-2, by the square root of both sides which is exactly what we have the graph of!
