OpenStudy (nitroster):

I used to have an account here :P was lvl 55

OpenStudy (sooobored):

from what you have drawn wouldnt it be easier to draw the line through point (30,20) and (25,60)

OpenStudy (sooobored):

and then use these two easy points in order to determine the equation of the line?

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

It is also easy to use excel... graph the set of values given and than make a graph (scatter plot) and display the equation of the graph (there is a setting)

OpenStudy (nitroster):

Your right, in fact.. I tried using (24,66) and (14,150) then I found the slope and used one of the points for the point-slope formula. I solved for the slope-intercept formula. Is that ok? and am I able to plug in the age for x?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

that method is perfectly fine, there is no one correct trend line

OpenStudy (nitroster):

Ok, thanks! And I can use the age as x? My slope-intercept equation is y = -88/10x + 1338/5

OpenStudy (sooobored):

age IS x where as Y is posts since you used x as age when determine the slope

OpenStudy (nitroster):

OHHH thanks so much :D
