OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

The container that holds the water for the football team is 2/3 full. After pouring out 3 gallons of water, it is 1/2 full. How many gallons can the container hold?

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

@MiaSan5653

OpenStudy (miasan5653):

So originally it is 4/6 full and after the three gallons it becomes 3/6 full. There is a 1/6 difference

OpenStudy (miasan5653):

Since it is only a 1/6 difference all you have to do is multiply the amount poured out by six to get the total it can hold

OpenStudy (miasan5653):

3 gallons were poured out. 3 times 6 is not nine

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

18

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

sorry, half asleep lol @MiaSan5653

OpenStudy (miasan5653):

Correct. Do you have any other problems?

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

so it would be 18?

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

the answer is 18?

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

@MiaSan5653

OpenStudy (ebonyserrano):

yes and two more
