I am writing an essay and I need a title. The thesis statement is "Sometimes setbacks and failures can make one grow as a person." I would appreciate the help

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Hi there! So, when I make up titles for short stories to poems, I look into the context of the piece as a whole (I don't base it only on the thesis). Is it on how to go through difficult times? :o

OpenStudy (skarlettrose186):

This is what I have so far When someone fails, it is generally thought of as a bad thing. No one wants to fail but it is an inevitable part of being human. But is failing that bad? Setbacks allow a person to think outside the box and try new things. No one wants to have struggles but they can be good for them in the long run. Sometimes failures and setbacks can make one grow as a person. When a person fails at something they can choose to quit or try again. Everything a person does is a choice and it is important for them to make the right one. Sometimes it is hard to do the right thing and try again, but sometimes it is the only thing to do. There is always a choice and even though getting up and trying again might be the hardest thing one has ever done it may also be the most important thing they’ve ever done as well. Perseverance is defined as steadfastness in doing a task despite difficulty. Sometimes perseverance is not easy. Sometimes it may seem like the hardest thing in the world, but without perseverance where would the world be. We wouldn’t have many of the comforts and joys that we have today. If everyone gave up at the first sign of difficulty what would the world be like. America wasn’t founded by people who took the path of least resistance, it was formed of trials and hardships but it was all hard work and fighting for everything. If everything that is was brought by hard work, what gives someone the right to just quit? Just think about it, what if the Founding Fathers had just quit? There might have not even been an America.

I still have about three hundred more words to add but that is the idea

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Ah, I see. From what I've read, your word choice has primarily revolved around the word "preseverance". Is that your main idea as a whole? I don't want to just give out titles, but I would think of something like: Perserverance: Moving on through the face of adversary

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Oh yeah it's spelled "perseverance"

OpenStudy (skarlettrose186):

yes it is mostly about perseverance and working through difficulty

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

In that case, I would make a title with that word in it since it's the gist of the essay :)

OpenStudy (skarlettrose186):

ok thanks

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

No problem~
