No one knew how difficult the task would be. But Marie, although still a student, had already shown that she possessed the most important quality of a successful scientist. When it came to the search for knowledge, she never gave up. Based on the passage, which identifies the most logical conclusion one could draw about the author of "Marie Curie and the Discovery of Radioactivity"? Question 5 options: The author has somehow been helped by Curie's discovery of radioactivity. The author is part of the Curie family. The author also works in science.
can someone please help me please :(
Start by eliminating the one you know isn't true, in this case I would say its "The author is part of the Curie family" as there is nothing in the passage to suggest that.
thank you so much
Of course! You got it now?
yep thanks alot:)
can you please help me with a little bit more
Which type of text is most likely to be written from the first-person point of view? Question 6 options: research report autobiography biography government document
i think its the second one B
but id really k
I would agree that the answer is B. Think of it this way: a research report is all about stating facts and details of something else, not anything to do with you. A biography is retelling the life of someone else, it wouldn't make sense for it to be in first-person, and a government document is also something that would be very factual without any personal input. An autobiography is all about the author's life so it would make sense that they would refer to themselves as "I", right?
so i'm right?
Yup! Good job (:
thanks :)
