How do you enter 0.5 log(0.1) on a calculator/excel?
I don't know generally but Mathway is a really good online calculator.
I feel the answer should be -1.15129...
Find a online cal, fixed
I was hoping to figure this out for if I were to enter an exam situation.
alright, one second fine
I don't know about your calculator, but on mine it's pretty easy What does your's look like?
el-510rn sharp
so you gotta press 2nd function to get log.
Okay, i went and looked it up, i don't know if this helps but here you go You can calcuate log to any base easily using the change of base formula. log base n of b = (log base 10 of b) / (log base 10 of n) so to calculate log base 2 of 16, for example, divide log 16 by log 2, and you should get 4. You can also use ln instead of log. It works either way.
Not exactly what I needed, but it does clear up another problem for me.
Hm, i look a little more into it
Have you done regular long on that calculator before?
From what i'm seeing you can only do base 10 or natural log on that calc
I honestly wouldn't know.
But as it is, I'm satisfied with what I have. thank you for your assistance.
Nah, no problem, thanks for the medal
