how much of Nagasaki was devastated by the bomb, and what kept the radiation from spreading to the entire city?

Hiroshima is on a flat plane. There was nothing to contain the radiation.
Nagasaki is in a valley. Sometimes described as a bowl. So the radiation was more contained than Hiroshima.
