I don't know why you would do it by instant message of text or anything other than face to face. But you need to tell him (it's always the guy who does this)
I'm done with your put downs. Maybe you think I'm too good for you so you have to try to cut me down. Well, you are right. I deserve better. 
If you ever learn to treat a woman like an equal let me know. I'll think about dating you then. In the mean time I'm better off alone, than I am with your never ending insults. But keep in mind that there are good guys out there that want to be with me. So you may be to late when you get around to being a decent human being.
