OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

What is the perimeter of the figure? Assume that all angles are right angles. (picture in comments)

OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

OpenStudy (sooobored):

perimeter is the sum of all the sides sum means add

OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

adding it all together would be 9.8 and thats not an option

OpenStudy (sooobored):

because you're only adding together 4 numbers when the figure has 12 sides you should be adding up 12 numbers to get hte perimeter

OpenStudy (sooobored):

you cannot just add the numbers given, the unlabelled sides still have a length, its just not written

OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

how do you do find the unlabeled sides?

OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

would it be 28cm?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

well, notice how some sides have 1 dash mark, 2 dash marks, and 3 dash marks? the sides with 1 dash mark all share the same length the sides with 2 dash marks share the same length etc

OpenStudy (sooobored):

no idea, didnt calculate it

OpenStudy (mywishgranted):

thank you!
