What is the arc length of arc CD in the circle below? Circle A is shown with a radius labeled 10 feet and a central angle marked 40 degrees. 3.14 feet 4.88 feet 6.98 feet 11.78 feet

OpenStudy (mhchen):

First of all, let's think about this logically. An 'arc length' is really a proportion of the circumference. Right? An the 'central angle' is really a proportion of the 360 degree angle of a circle. Right? Then we can set up a proportion! \[\frac{central~\angle}{360^{o}} = \frac{arc~length}{circumference}\] You are given the central angle, and you can FIND the circumference. Now can you solve that proportion?

OpenStudy (xlpoisonpotato):

nah can i just have the answer i give medal

OpenStudy (mhchen):

Check pms

OpenStudy (xlpoisonpotato):

ok ok
