Potassium, Titanium, and Bromide are all on the same row, or period, of the periodic table They are on the 4th period, and therefore have 4 orbitals

However, if you look at the positioning of Carbon, you can see that it is on a different period. It is on the 2nd period. Therefore, we know that Carbon only has 2 orbitals. Hope this was helpful!
