@harman.singh

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

Can you post the orthogonal view and the freehand drawing as well?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

k

Thanks! Having a look now.

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

Did you draw the shape from Top view? Your shape looks correct from Top View but a bit weird when I change it to a different view. Generally, its good to draw a 3D shape in isometric. This is what it looks like in SE view. |dw:1479441362140:dw|

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

but my teacher want isometric drawing in 2D so

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

but isometric drawings are created for 3D views...

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

idk but we want in 2D

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

how can I do the standard dimension?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

I dont know how thats possible since its a 3D shape. Maybe your teacher wants you to draw the shape in 3D in isometric but they can see the 2D view of it by choosing Top, Front or Side View

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

For the dimensions, you need to use the 3-point coordinate system. |dw:1479441707068:dw|

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

but I dont see how you can do that because of the way your shape is drawn... It will work if your shape is drawn in a 3D view

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

oh yea that's what I am confuse with

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

You should start the drawing again and this time, use 'SE Isometric' view when you draw.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

is that dimensions looking ok?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

No, the dimensions are not right. You have to use 3-point system. Can you post the updated drawing so I can show you how to do one?

OpenStudy (harman.singh):

This is what the dimensions should look like as an example |dw:1479445826501:dw|
