In the figure, triangle ABC -triangle DEF. Solve for X. 1.) 16.36 2.) 55 3.) 2.2 4.) 66
is there a picture to the question or any measurements for the sides?
alright so... do you know the scale factor of the larger image?
No I don't
okay so to figure that out you first need to look at one side of each triangle and see how much larger it is.
you are finding the scale factor for the larger triangle so... would the scale factor be more or less than 0?
more?
yes.
this is hard to explain sorry, im trying.
is the answer 55?
alright so, the larger squares side is 30 and the smaller one is 6.
If the bigger triangle is 5x larger than the smaller triangle, then wouldn't it be 55 since 11*5 is 55?
to figure out how much larger the big triangle is from the smaller one is by dividing the side of the larger triangle from the smaller one.
lol yes it is 55, i was just trying to help.
you did help thank you very much, i've failed this question 3 times
you divide 30 by 6 which is 5. so the larger one is 5 times the size... so than multiply aa by 5.
yourwelcome.
