OpenStudy (jfruihvifjokp):

What is the area of a rectangle with vertices at (−3, −1)(−3, −1) , (1, 3)(1, 3) , (3, 1)(3, 1) , and (−1, −3)(−1, −3) ? Enter your answer in the box. Do not round any side lengths.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Curious: Why are you typing in each set of coordinates twice? A rectangle has 4 vertices, no more, no less. Please graph these four vertices. Find the length and width of the rectangle (you might want to use the distance formula for that). How would you then find the area of the rectangle?
