A student is solving a system of equations by substitution and comes up with the solution 3 = 3. Assuming that he solved the problem correctly, which of the following can be said about this system of equations? a) The system has exactly 1 solution. b) The system has exactly 2 solutions. c) The system has infinitely many solutions. d) The system has no solution.
@Vijeya3
Yeah that would be equal to 1=1 So this one would be C :)
okay i thought so, thank you so much!
@vijeya3 are u sure?
@princeharryyy Yes, he is right
let him elucidate a little. @steve816
yep I am pretty sure abt that We learnt this is school If we get something like 0=1(u know when the right hand side and the left hand side are unequal),then the system would have no solution at all,that is they would be parallel And this is known as a false statement Ans when it is 1=1 Then it has infinitely many solutions:)
LOL @steve816 and @princeharryyy I am a grlx'D
Oh LOL!
Ohhh! sorry girl. LOL @Vijeya3 I knew that u were right, but cos this was a little tricky. I just wanted to ensure that she knew how it came.
Oh no problem. and ur right.....I should have offered an explanationx'D
thanks :)
^-^
can one of you help with the question I posted
